Karen L Petrie is the sole owner/operator of Account Kare. She has a very extensive accounting background, which began in 1979 in the cost accounting department of a manufacturing company in New Jersey and aggressively moved up the accounting ladder. She was a staff accountant with Certified Public Accountant firms in both Maryland and Colorado before reopening Account Kare.
In 2005 Karen expanded her knowledge to include Colorado life/annuity licenses, Colorado and Washington Series 6 and 63 securities licenses.
The doors of Account Kare originally opened in New Jersey on October 13, 1989. The ribbon was cut in Colorado February 1, 2000. We have retained a number of individual tax clients from our previous office on the east coast. These include clients from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Now a growing number of clients in Colorado are discovering that our services are a valuable tool in improving and maintaining financial health for themselves and their businesses.
Account Kare is an IRS authorized E-FILE and EFTPS provider, member of the National Society of Tax Professionals and National Society of Accountants. We are also members of Sage Software Accountants Network and Peachtree Accounting, Checks & Forms Specialist, Insurance and Annuities licensed Series 6 and 63 securities licensed. Accuracy and thoroughness are hallmarks of Account Kare celebrated by clients and colleagues alike. A solid foundation of accounting, bookkeeping and tax knowledge is continuously updated to better serve our client’s needs.
We offer a full range of bookeeping, accounting and tax preparation. We specialize in small business accounting for individual Schedule C businesses, S-Corps and Small Partnerships.
